Some of the early Vlad books consistantly refer to the falls as "Deathsgate" (note the extra "s"). I think we can safely assume this is either Vlad's ignorance of the correct spelling, or just a mis-translation on the part of Brust the Interviewer.
Yes it is definitely Deathgate (trusting Paarfi). I looked this up a few weeks ago, and then promptly forgot which was correct. - Attjen

What if you don't go?[]
There must be thousands (hundreds?) of Dragaerans who die each year but don't get carried physically over to Deathgate. It makes little sense to me that the gods would let all of those promising souls go to waste, unjudged. Could their souls not travel to the Paths without physically being accompanied by their bodies?
