It is a bit difficult to describe Paarfi of Roundwood, and far be it from the writers of these articles to attempt a full portrait of such a complicated figure. For who among us could attempt to enlighten the visitors to this location with a full conjuration of such a man, a Hawk, an author, and an historian; a lover, a fraud, a man respected by all, except for those who detest him; an inventor of tall tales; victim of unfounded literary court cases and also the occasional paternity court case.
Paarfi is perhaps best known, however, for his historical fiction novels. His works include:
- Three Broken Strings
- The Phoenix Guards
- Five Hundred Years After
- The Viscount of Adrilankha, published in three parts as
- The Baron of Magister Valley
